Well Arianna turns 2 next week, so we are having her Birthday Party this Saturday.  I love hosting parties, so I am pretty excited about it.  Plus, Arianna will love it, I am sure.  She will be showered with presents and attention, what every 2 year old loves!

Of course, with hosting parties comes party anxiety.  More specifically cleaning every inch of the house.  I like my house clean, but I dont love to clean… so yeah, that works. 

I started a project to paint the vanity in the bathroom that has been a slow thing, but the party is something that got my butt in gear.  I am about 3/4 done with it now, and Im hoping to have it all finished and put back together tomorrow night.

In other news, Arianna is going to be Yoda for Halloween.  We haven’t gotten the costume yet, but we will this weekend.  I am excited for her to go trick or treating this year.  We will probably only go around the block… but Im sure she will love it.  I am hoping the weather will hold out for another week and a half so it wont be too cold out on Halloween.  But it probably wont.

Well its been over eight months since I have updated this blog.  Shame on me!  I update other ones regularly… so I should probably try to update this one a little more often

Well we decided to go camping this weekend.  It will be the first family camping trip of 2009.  We are going up to the Rifle River and will hopefully be canoeing / kayaking down it.  We bought Arianna a life jacket and some water shoes last night.  She looked very cute in them.  Im a little nervous about how it will all work out since she is pretty young.  But I really am excited to go.

Things have been going great with the family.  Arianna is 21 months old now, and a running, climbing, giggly little girl.  She is in love with bubbles, sidewalk chalk and swimming.  Dwayne and I have been great.  The first year of marriage just flew by.  We went to a Red Wings Stanley Cup Championship game for our anniversary.  We went early and hung out with Matt & Liz and had some beers.  Watched the players warm up from the front row behind the net.  That was pretty cool.  The game was amazing, and we won!  It was a great way to spend an anniversary that’s for sure.  We saved a chunk of our wedding cake to eat and it was actually really good.  I was pleasantly surprised.  We were eating cake on the sidewalk downtown, and we drank some champagne after the game on the street again haha.  It was a great day.

Since I didnt post any pictures at all this winter I will leave you with this picture of Arianna playing in the snow.  I know its July, but seriously… she is just too dang cute!

Well we finally went and got Arianna’s pictures taken.  I will post the link, or send it out to everyone as soon as I get it from JC Penney.  They turned out pretty cute.  We had a heck of a time getting any pictures out of her because as soon as she was in front of the camera she was friggin super hyper.  She barely sat still for 5 seconds.  But we managed to trick her into being still for some.  I cant wait to get them. 

Everyone that will be at the party on the 26th will get theirs then… if not, then they will be in the mail.

Dwayne also took a picture yesterday on our porch with a pumpkin and it was adorable.

 I think we are going to the apple orchard next weekend, even though we have a bunch of stuff to do.  Im pretty excited to get some cider and donuts, and maybe pick a few fresh apples.    I love fall.

Well not really.  While I was folding her clothes today, Arianna started jumping on her bed.  I was a little shocked since she never did that before, but it was just adorable.  I captured some video on my phone since the camera was dead and charging.  Hopefully you can see it.  It really was cute.

Hello everyone.  Sorry… its been a while since I’ve updated.  Things are good.  Arianna is getting closer and closer to walking.  She is standing up by herself for a bit and will walk if you let her hold onto your fingers.  She has two more teething coming in on the top for a total of 6!  We had no idea they were coming in until they are practically out.  We will be going to get her pictures taken very soon and will mail them out to everyone. 

 

I cannot believe that she is already 11 months.   Wow time really does fly. 

 

Dwayne and I are both taking classes right now, so that makes things pretty interesting.  I like it a lot, Im glad I am finally back into it. 

 

The weather here has been great lately.  Mild and beautiful.  I am pretty excited for the leaves to start changing.  Fall is my favorite season.  Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin lattes J, Halloween, leaves changing, cool weather… man… its awesome.

 

I am starting to plan Arianna’s first birthday party.  It will probably be October 25^th or 26^th, so mark your calendars J  I think we are going to go with a Halloween theme.  I love Halloween, so Im pretty excited about that.  Its amazing to think that we are planning her first birthday party.  Everyday I am amazed that she is as big as she is.  Ah.. it seems like only yesterday… lol.

 

Well back to work.  Ill update more, I promise.

Well that last few days for me have sucked.  I ended up eating some bad chicken salad and had food poisoning pretty bad tuesday night and wednesday.  Im feeling a bit better today, but still not 100%.  I can tell you that its definitely not fun, and I dont think I have ever felt that sick in my entire life.  I really hope that I never have it again.

In other news, we are going to go camping again this weekend.  Somewhere on the west side of the state.  We will be stocking up on bug killer, that is for sure.  And I think its just us going this time, so we can get in some family time.  But I think it will be fun regardless.  Of course I wll take pictures and post them when we get back.

I am finally going to post the pictures from our camping trip.  Yay!

Well I still never got a chance to get the baby pictures from the camping trip posted up here. But I do have pictures from when I took Arianna to see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at the beach last week.  It was a wonderful time and Arianna seemed to enjoy herself.
